Abstract
AT Berkeley, California, the first cyclotron to be built for the purpose of medical and biological research is nearing completion. In Great Britain it still remains a matter for debate as to whether the immediate expenditure on the construction of a medical cyclotron would be justified or whether it would, perhaps, be better policy to await the outcome of the research which has already been started in Berkeley.
