Abstract
THE seventy-sixth annual general meeting of the Institution of Gas Engineers, held in London during June 6-9, was noteworthy as the centenary of the death of William Murdoch, the versatile Scot, who is acclaimed as the father of the British gas industry. Mr. Robert Robertson, engineer and manager of the Bristol Gas Co., presided.
