Abstract
THIS is the second of a series of yearbooks projected as annual supplements to the “Encyclopaedia Britannica”. The first of the series was reviewed in NATURE of June 25, 1938, p. 1120, when the reviewer regarded it as a step towards the realization of the World Encyclopaedia of Mr. H. G. Wells. This second volume is a further step towards that ideal, for all branches of knowledge and culture and all political and social problems-national and international-are dealt with in an objective and dispassionate manner.
