Abstract

RECENT measurements on the flow of liquid helium II through capillaries have yielded very varied results. We reported earlier1 that the flow through long capillaries bore no relation to a normal laminar or turbulent condition of the liquid, and that the velocity depended only slightly on the pressure head.
