Abstract
AT the meeting of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea held at Copenhagen on May 23-28, a special session was devoted to submarine light measurements. H. H. Poole gave a brief summary of the results obtained by different workers on the variation of surface loss with weather conditions, pointing out the difficulties involved and stressing the importance of further work on the effect of surface conditions on the angular distribution of submarine daylight.
