Abstract
EDINBURGH Royal Society, May 4, 1936. STEFAN JELLINEK: The theory of electrical traces (address). The external or superficial effects upon objects struck by lightning have long been known. These effects (or ‘traces') are shown to be separable into three distinct geometrical types-the straight line, the circular and the spiral. In addition to the thermal and chemical action, it has been demonstrated that there is also a mechanical action.
