Abstract
A TELEGRAM from the Prime Minister of Ausitralia, sent on July 26, announced the death of E. S. Bieler on the previous day from pneumonia. He died after thirty-two hours' illness at Geraldton, Western Australia, at the age of thirty-five. He was engaged with Dr. Boughton Edge and others in geophysical exploration under the joint auspices of the British Empire Marketing Board and the Commonwealth of Australia. He had received two years' leave of absence from McGill University for this important expedition.
