Abstract
MR. RUSSELL'S books are always a pleasure to read, perhaps because they have been a pleasure to write. The “Outline of Philosophy” is evenpleasanter than most of his philosophical works, and gives also the completest account of his views. A considerable part is essentially a summary of the “Analysis of Matter” and also of the “Analysis of Mind” published a few years ago. On the whole, the summarising process has been an improvement; though some valuable discussion of recent physical theory is to be found only in the “Analysis of Matter.”
