Abstract
ON December 19, 1925, Carl Schröter, still “Professor der Botanik an der Eidgenbssischen Technischen Hochschule in Zurich,” celebrated his seventieth birthday. A Festschrift of 811 pages, containing an account of Schroter's life and work by Ribel, a former student and present colleague, and forty-nine original articles by botanists of some thirteen nationalities, was published in honour of the occasion.
