Abstract
THERE is no treatise in any language which gave more detailed accounts of the manufacture of sulphuric acid than that of Lunge. The earlier editions of this were based directly on the experience of the author and were very practical. In the course of revision the new matter took the form of extracts from patents, and very little critical discussion of these was added. In the latest edition, two volumes of which form the subject of the present review, there is considerable difference in the method of treatment.
