Abstract
THE United States Coast and Geodetic Survey has long had in progress an are of primary triangulation along the 98th meridian of longitude. This arc was completed to the north, up to the Canadian boundary, in 1907. To the south there is a similar arc along the same meridian through Mexico, originally surveyed by the “Commission G6odesique Mexicaine” between 1906 and 1910, terminating to the north at the international boundary on the Rio Grande and extending southward to the Pacific Ocean.
