Abstract
THE Eclipse Expedition will leave England on the A 29th inst. in the Royal Mail Steamship Nile, timed to arrive at Barbados on August n. We regret to learn that Her Majesty's ship Canada, which was told off to assist the Expedition, chiefly by supplying artificers and assistance in camping and in the observations, has been withdrawn on some “diplomatic” service. This is a serious blow to the probabilities of good results.
