Abstract
IN Mr. McCook's recent investigation (NATURE, vol. xx. p. 583, and Proc. Acad. Nat. Sci. Phil., 1879, p. 35) he stated that he observed carefully both the mode of cutting and the system of carrying cut portions of oakleaves at Camp Wrignt, and at a vegetable garden near Austin, Texas.
