THE Queen has conferred the honour of the Companionship of the Civil Division of the Order of the Bath on Prof. Frederick Augustus Abel, F.R.S., Chemist to the War Department and President of the Chemical Society, and on Major-General Charles Wright Youngbusband, F.R.S., R.A., Superintendent of the Royal Gun Factories.
