A bit of fun to kick off the New Year.
New Year brings renewal.
My thoughts bent to cells.
Miniature drugstores
that may soothe our ills.
Embryonic came first,
then came iPSCs
for disease modeling
without moral unease.
Let us not forget
the ones we harbor.
From fat and marrow
our wounds they repair.
Their spheres of influence
depend on time and space;
nevertheless tumble
down Waddington's landscape.
Directing their fate,
imposing order;
otherwise they stray,
yield teratomas.
