Abstract
Members of the mammalian nucleotide-binding domain–, leucine-rich repeat (LRR)-containing receptor (NLR) family of proteins have emerged as key regulators of inflammation. Among the members of this family, much attention has focused on NLRP3 (also called cryopyrin or NALP3).
