Hideki Mochizuki is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at Osaka University in Osaka, Japan. Professor Mochizuki’s research interest is Parkinson’s disease with a focus on its pathogenesis using neurochemical, molecular, and cell biologic studies as well as novel therapeutic approaches using gene therapy. Professor Mochizuki has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports since 2016.
Antonio Suppa is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Department of Human Neurosciences, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. His research activity mainly focuses on the pathophysiology of motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. For this purpose, He applies advanced non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques for assessing synaptic plasticity in the primary motor cortex in humans. He also uses wearable technology and artificial intelligence to recognize and analyse specific motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease. Professor Suppa has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports since 2021.
