Javier G. P. Gamarra is an international consultant at the Forestry Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. His major interests focus on forest biometry and theoretical ecology with a focus on biodiversity and carbon scaling, which he combines with international development work on National Forest Inventories. Dr Gamarra has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Data since 2021.
Thomas Mock is a Professor of Marine Microbiology at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia. His research addresses questions on how marine algae and their microbiomes have evolved and are able to thrive in the dynamic marine environment under a range of environmental variables including global change. To address these questions, his team applies approaches from cell biology and genetics to assessing changes in biodiversity at the global scale from pole to pole. Professor Mock has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Data since 2023.
Yahui Zhao is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests are taxonomy, evolution, conservation and zoogeography of fishes. He is also interested in the species diversity and evolution of cave fauna. Dr Zhao has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Data since 2022
