Having worked as a GDP for several years, I decided that it would be a great idea to apply for Specialty Training. Dental Specialty Training usually follows on from Dental Core Training (DCT), though some dentists who have been working in practice for a while also apply,1 according to Dental Education Hub.

There is a requirement to complete DCT2 or equivalent (as demonstrated by National Certificate of Dental Core Equivalence (NCDCE)) at the time of commencement of Specialty Training Post.1
