FULL OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR of Paediatric Endocrinology

The Department of Paediatrics of the University Hospital of Geneva is seeking a chief for its Division of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology. Candidates should be board certified in Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology, be able to direct a research program and to ensure pre- and postgraduate teaching. Candidates with research activities close to Developmental Biology or Endocrine Regulation of Growth are especially encouraged to apply. Good knowledge of the French language is required.

The academic level will be determined by the candidate's experience and ability to develop an interdepartmental research program concentrating on developmental biology.

To promote research in the field of Pediatric Dermatology we invite applications for the 1998 Paul Gerson Unna Prize.

Physiology and Pathophysiology of the neonatal skin

Research papers should either have direct practical relevance or be of outstanding significance for diagnostice, therapy or prevention of neonatal skin disorders.

Original articles in English or German, either published previously (not before January 1, 1997) or unpublished, and dealing with subjects related to the above topic, should be received by November 30, 1998.

The search committee, composed of dermatologists and scientists, will select the nominee on an anonymous basis.

The Paul Gerson Unna-Prize will be awarded in May, 1999, on the occasion of the 40. Annual Meeting of the German Dermatologic Society (DDG) in Hamburg.

IIIrd International Symposium on Pediatric Dermatology

The IIIrd International Symposium on Pediatric Dermatology will be held in Rome, Italy at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, September 10-12, 1998 instead of September 17-19, 1998. This meeting is organized by the International Center for Study and Research on Dermatology, the Department of Dermatology of the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, and the Italian Group of Pediatric Dermatology (GIDEP). Simultaneous translation of all scientific sessions will be provided in Italian, English and French.
