Pituitary Peptide

Abstract

A new peptide isolated from the pars intermedia of rat and pig pituitaries seems to be formed by the intracellular cleavage of corticotrophin. Thus corticotrophin may be not only a hormone in its own right, but the precursor of other biologically active peptides.
