Heterogeneity and Polymorphism in Chicken Erythrocyte Histone Fraction V

Abstract

Histone fraction V, which occurs uniquely in nucleated erythrocytes, is polymorphic. Homozygous and heterozygous examples involving glutamine and arginine at amino-acid No. 15 have been found in individual chickens.
