Reply to: Complications of transpyloric nutrition in children

We were very interested to read the letter from Dr Victoria Sheward and Dr Tanja Adamovic regarding our study ‘Factors for gastrointestinal complications in critically ill children with transpyloric enteral nutrition’ (López-Herce et al., 2008a, 2008b) and thank them for their comments. These authors express certain doubts about the validity of our study and we would like to respond.

First, in Material and methods, we believe that it is clearly expressed in the study, all the children who were admitted to the PICU and received transpyloric enteral nutrition during the study period were included prospectively.
