Abstract
A patient with primary hyperparathyroidism is reported, in which the sole presenting feature was an orofacial swelling. Untreated, the disease is life-threatening and its early recognition will reduce the risk of morbidity. Recent figures suggest that the incidence of the condition tends to be underestimated
