Abstract
IYENGAR et al.1 have reported observations of hard X rays from Her X-1, which seem to set an upper limit of 10% on the pulsating component in the energy range 20 to 45 keV. I offer a simple explanation that does not require the additional source of X rays postulated by Iyengar et al.
