T Cells in Recognition of Histocompatibility Antigens

Abstract

THE capacity of lymphoid cells from normal mice to recognise foreign histocompatibility antigens, as shown in the PAR test, might offer a further assay for the function of T cell receptors, if it could be shown that recognition depends on T cells rather than on B cells. (PAR is a product of antigenic recognition elaborated in one-way mixed lymphoid cell cultures.)
