Expression of cyclins D-type in B-chronic lymphoproliferative disorders

Although, cyclin D2 and cyclin D3 mRNAs were ubiquitously expressed, in contrast with cyclin D2 protein, cyclin D3 protein was never present except in HCL. These findings indicate that some regulatory mechanisms still persist in tumor cells at a post-transcriptional level. In agreement with the study of Suzuki et al,2 there is a selective expression of cyclin D in lymphoproliferative disorders, the significance of such phenomenon has to be studied.
