Relationship between the Stage of Development of Foetal Hearts and their Survival in Organ Culture

Abstract

WE required a method for the storage of animal and human foetal heart material which would enable us to study the possible use of foetal tissue in replacement surgery and to examine the interplay between implanted foetal cardiac tissue and the healing of experimental myocardial infarcts.
