Inactivation of Prostaglandins by the Lungs

Abstract

Prostaglandins E1, E2, F and A2 are enzymically inactivated to different extents during passage through the pulmonary circulation. The enzyme responsible is probably 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase.
