Abstract
ANTIBODIES toxic to lymphocytes are produced in man after multiple blood transfusions, multiple pregnancies, and skin and kidney allografts. These antibodies are directed against iso-antigenic determinants shared by lymphocytes and tissues and are thought to recognize a major transplantation locus in man (HL–A).
