Abstract
A PRELIMINARY investigation of the distribution of the trace metals copper, iron and manganese, with special emphasis on copper, was recently undertaken in the ocean area south-west of the Cape of Good Hope. Oceanographic information collected concurrently with the samples was used in a provisional interpretation of the results.
