Abstract
THE current interest in naturally occurring tryptamines, and the recent report by Shepherd et al. 1 on the detection of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine), prompt us to describe a more sensitive and specific test which has been used for some time in our investigations on the pain-producing agent of burn-blister fluid2.
