Call for Papers: Genomic Testing in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC)

We invite submissions for a special issue in EJHG on genomic testing in low and middle income countries. This is an important and timely topic, as genomic testing has the potential to revolutionize healthcare in these regions, but it also presents unique challenges and ethical considerations.

We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • The feasibility and cost-effectiveness of genomic testing in healthcare and research settings in low and middle income countries
  • The ethical considerations of genomic testing in these contexts, such as informed consent, data privacy, and cultural sensitivity
  • Case studies of successful implementation of genomic testing in low and middle income countries
  • Case series on phenotypic variability in rare diseases presenting in low and middle income countries

The deadline for submissions is 30th June 2023. We look forward to receiving your papers and contributing to this important and emerging field.
