Infectious diseases spread by arthropod vectors such as mosquitoes, ticks, and flies account for a significant fraction of global morbidity and mortality, yet remain relatively neglected in terms of research interest and investment. With climate change and habitat modifications projected to significantly impact disease vector abundance, distribution, and seasonality, increased efforts should be taken to understand the complex ecology and epidemiology of these diseases, and to develop effective control and prevention strategies. This collection brings together some of our latest research in these key areas.
