Stephen Hancocks OBE Stephen Hancocks, BDJ Open EiC
Stephen Hancocks OBE has been Editor-in-Chief of BDJ Open's sister journal, the British Dental Journal since 2004.  A well-known personality within the dental industry, Stephen is based at the British Dental Association.

Associate Editor

Jonathan Lewney 
Jonathan qualified as a dentist in 2012 and has a background in the physical sciences and population health. In 2013, he joined the British Dental Journal Editorial Board and has been BDJ Open Associate Editor since March 2017. Jonathan is currently based in Newcastle, UK as a specialty registrar in dental public health.

Senior Managing Editor: Ruth Doherty 
Ruth Doherty joined the British Dental Journal team at Springer Nature at the beginning of 2012, coming from the Royal Society of Chemistry where she had worked since 2007. Ruth is a Senior Managing Editor with responsibility for ensuring the quailty publication and development of two of the British Dental Association's journals -  BDJ and BDJ Open.

Associate Editor: Jonathan Coe
Jonathan Coe joined the team in September 2015 as Assistant Editor of the British Dental Journal and BDJ Open and has since been promoted to Associate Editor. As well as running the day-to-day peer review of the BDJ and BDJ Open, Jonathan runs the @The_BDJ Twitter feed and BDJ Facebook page highlighting published articles to the wider dental community and beyond.
