Astra Tech is giving dental nurses the opportunity to develop their skills to Implant Coordinator level so that they can support both clinical staff and patients throughout the implant process.
A 3-module course taught by Specialist Dental Nurse Emma Mullally is running three times during 2008, with space for 16 delegates.
Module 1 provides an introduction to implants and key areas such as patient selection and product knowledge; Module 2 covers anatomy and finer details of treatments and processes; and in Module 3 the nurse will learn the best communication techniques and care management.
The next course will run from May to July and then September to November, at a cost of £390+VAT per person, or delegates can attend a single module on Basic Implantology for £130+VAT.
The complete three-day course constitutes 18 hours of verifiable CPD.
