The FGDP(UK)'s Key Skills in primary dental care for DCPs is a modular distance-learning assessment that requires DCPs to reflect on their roles and consider how to develop good working practices.

The assessment provides up to 70 hours of CPD and is included in two existing programmes for DCPs: newly qualified dental therapists in vocational training and BSc primary dental care students at Kent. Students who have already completed the assessment or parts of it prior to starting the courses are credited with accredited prior learning for their achievement. For further information contact the development officer by emailing shunter@rcseng.ac.uk.
