This year's BDA-BDJ Winter Lecture will take place slightly earlier than usual on 19 October 2016 and will be delivered by renowned microbiologist Professor Mike Curtis, Dean of Dentistry at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Professor Curtis' current research is focused in two main areas. First, the role of the oral microbiome in the maintenance of oral health and the development of disease and secondly analysis of the key microbial virulence determinants of oral bacteria.

The Winter Lecture is once again kindly sponsored by Colgate and one hour of verifiable continuing professional development (CPD) is available for those attending.
