North London dentists and their patients can now benefit from clearer diagnosis and treatment planning of endodontic problems using the latest 3D radiography at a specialist clinic in Cockfosters. On 12 September, ENDOCLINIC celebrated becoming the first practice in the UK to install a new generation of Morita cone beam tomography scanners.

On behalf of Morita, Robert Pounds hands over the new Veraviewepocs 3D F40 to Vida Adib and Maria Lessani of ENDOCLINIC.

The ENDOCLINIC launch underlines the growing recognition of the value of CBCT technology in endodontic practice. The Morita Veraviewepocs 3D F40 has been developed to provide safe and accurate X-ray images particularly for endodontic practice. The system offers up to three times the image detail of other 3D X-ray systems. For complex endodontic procedures, it shows the smallest detail in outstanding quality in just a few seconds. It gives an exact view down into the individual root structures, with all the information needed for treatment planning.

Cone beam CT provides a clear representation of specific root morphology, even of complicated root structures and of teeth with multiple roots. It also enables the dentist to form a precise judgement about adjacent structures which may be affected.

The facility is also available to other dental colleagues for imaging, and a radiologist's report will be provided.
