The Primary Care Support Service is an independent all-Wales NHS service which encourages professionals to look after themselves in ways which not only minimise or prevent the effects of work stresses escalating into crisis, but also promote well-being. It provides a variety of services to dentists working in Wales, including counselling, a dental peer support network, support for those undergoing investigation for performance concerns or a complaint, or for those with alcohol or substance use concerns, coaching, conflict resolution (mediation), managing change, workshops and educational evidence-based programmes aimed at promoting well-being and personal development.

Services are either free to the user or provided at a subsidised rate. All are direct access and self-referral. For more information, please visit website http://www.primarycaresupport.wales.nhs.uk.
