The staff of SCA Trafalgar dentistry donated boxes full of toys, chocolates and food to needy families in Portsmouth through the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, which supports poor, homeless and vulnerable people in the city.

SCA Trafalgar dentistry is part of social enterprise health and social care provider SCA Group, a not-for-profit service which offers NHS dentistry to over 45,000 patients in Hampshire. The five Trafalgar clinics provide both NHS and private dentistry and are situated in Holbury in the New Forest, Rowner and Brune in Gosport, Woolston in Southampton and Buckland in Portsmouth.

Staff and some patients from all five Trafalgar practices in Hampshire contributed to the appeal after New Road Head Receptionist Vicki Maxworth talked to a Salvation Army volunteer who came into the practice as a patient.

'The practice staff have done really well and have been very generous,' said Stacey Ball, manager at New Road. 'It's good to help children and families who are less fortunate than we are, especially at this time of year.'
