Sir, with regard to the letter A single dose (BDJÂ 2008; 205: 525) I recall reading that the best antibiotic cover for dental surgical procedures is 2 g Tinidazole 12 hours pre-operatively.
As this is not in the formulary, I have not had a chance to research this.
