Glioblastoma (GB) is an aggressive primary brain tumour occurring in adults, with very low survival rates and limited treatment options. The infiltration of myeloid cell populations into the GB tumour mass creates a specific microenvironment that promotes tumour growth and therapy resistance. So far, most studies have focused on understanding how tumour-associated macrophages contribute to this unique environment, with limited research considering other types of myeloid cell such as tumour-associated neutrophils (TANs).
