Launched almost two years ago - in summer 2022 - BDJ Perspectives was designed to assimilate and debate chosen topics and themes affecting the UK and global oral healthcare profession. Curated by Associate Editor Avijit Banerjee and only accessible to British Dental Association (BDA) members and BDJ subscribers, the Perspectives section of the BDJ aims to stimulate our readers to think about and develop their own thoughts, views and opinions, based on fact.

Numerous topics have been published to date including dental amalgam, sustainability, orofacial cleft management, online dental education, and postgraduate career pathways.

We would like to invite readers to propose new topics for BDJ Perspectives. What else would you like to see in this section of the BDJ? What topics have we not yet covered - or which topics should we revisit now time has passed? Is there something in particular on which you would like to read stakeholders' views?

All suggestions are welcome; please email the News Editor, Kate Quinlan, on k.quinlan@nature.com.
