Do you know how to differentiate between your professional responsibilities and your social life? As a dental student, you have a responsibility to maintain professionalism from the very first day of your course. For many students, the magnitude of this can sometimes be difficult to comprehend. Throughout your journey as a dental student, you are not only expected to be up-to-date with knowledge of clinical practice, but you are also required to maintain the gold standard of professionalism as set out by the General Dental Council (GDC) in the form of certain principles (i.e. GDC Standards for the Dental Team and Fitness to Practise).
