Melting of a Small Cluster of Atoms

Abstract

The thermodynamic properties of small clusters of atoms and molecules are of interest for nucleation theory1–7. Recently several investigators have examined in detail the properties of small clusters8–19. A particularly important problem for small clusters is to determine the phase diagram.
