Further High Sensitivity X-ray Sky Survey from the Southern Hemisphere

Abstract

The strengths of seven X-ray sources at 1–12 keV in the Centaurus-Norma-Lupus region of the sky have been measured during high sensitivity surveys in June 1968 and April 1969. The combined emission from the observed Centaurus sources can account for nine-tenths of the previously unresolved excess galactic X-rays in this region of the Milky Way.
