Nature Publishing Group (NPG) entered into a collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, on November 11, 2009 to further disseminate scientific knowledge and enhance environmental awareness. The MoU was signed by Rajendra K Pachauri, Director-General of TERI and David Swinbanks, Publishing Director, NPG, in New Delhi.
NPG and TERI agreed to disseminate relevant information from NPG to their respective audiences in India, namely, the personal subscribers of NPG's flagship journal Nature, the international edition of Scientific American in India, and subscribers of Terragreen, TERI's flagship monthly magazine on environmental and development issues. The MoU also opened up opportunities for future partnerships between NPG and TERI.
The purpose of the agreement is to spread scientific information and build awareness of global environmental issues among the target readerships of NPG and TERI in India.
