Abstract
DNA synthesis in Ustilago maydis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae made permeable to deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates is mitochondrial. No nuclear synthesis is observed. Some characteristics of this mitochondrial DNA synthesis are examined.
