Restricted Variation in the Glycolytic Enzymes of Human Brain and Erythrocytes

Abstract

Glycolytic enzymes in man are limited in variation in the brain and erythrocytes. This variation may be accounted for by negative selection, eliminating mutations unfavourable to metabolic function.
